Pharmacodynamics cefquinme is the fourth generation of cephalosporin antibiotics for animals. By inhibiting the synthesis of cell wall to achieve bactericidal effect, has a broad spectrum antibacterial activity, stable to β -lactamase. In vitro bacteriostatic tests showed that cefquinoxime was sensitive to common gram-positive and gram- negative bacteria. Including escherichia coli, citrobacter, klebsiella, pasteurella, proteus, salmonella, serratia marcescens, haemophilus bovis, actinomyces pyogenes, bacillus spp, corynebacterium, staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus, bacterioid, clostridium, bacillus fusobacterium, prevotella, actinobacillus and erysipelas suis.
Pharmacokinetic pigs were injected with 2mg of cefquinoxime intraday per 1kg of body weight, and the blood concentration reached the peak after 0.4 hours, the peak concentration was 5.93µg/ml, the elimination half-life was about 1.4 hours, and the area under the drug curve was 12.34µg·h/ml.
β-lactam antibiotics are used to treat respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella multocida or actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.
Intramuscular injection: one dose, 1mg per 1kg body weight, 1mg in cattle, 2mg in sheep and pigs, once a day, for 3-5 days.
