Myoglobin is where muscle cells store oxygen to help provide it to muscles during exercise. Most of the enzymes and factors involved in the tricarboxylic acid cycle contain iron or function only in the presence of iron. Therefore, in addition to accelerated hemoglobin synthesis, symptoms related to tissue iron deficiency and decreased activity of iron-containing enzymes, such as growth retardation, behavioral abnormalities, and physical deficiencies, can be gradually corrected after active iron supplementation in iron-deficient animals. Pharmacokinetic iron for injection is absorbed more rapidly than oral iron; after intramuscular injection of iron dextran, the blood concentration reached its peak at 24-48 hours, and its molecule was larger. It was absorbed by lymphatic vessels and then transferred into the blood, and the blood concentration increased slowly; after intravenous or intramuscular injection absorption into the blood circulation, it is phagocytic and decomposed into iron and dextran by mononuclear phagocytic cell system.
